Many times I write about travel, about finding things
troughout travels. Recently it came again, this simple thought about travelling
without even moving from the city you live in.
I met a blogger recently, one of those inspiring people that
pull you out into the things you want to do for life. We talked a lot about
this particular subject that pops out often among the travelers. You start
doing this, and you like it so much that it’s very difficult to stop doing it
later and at least for some time or in a short or long projection of life we
just can’t imagine holding to a life in only one place in the world.
Then two things follow to that, the first is the lack of
purpose, the second is the solution for the ones that find unbearable to be
nomads for life.
This lack of purpose is related with the YOLO philosophy (“You only live once”). Regardless of the reasons upon which we found that travel is THE way of life or that there’s no Life without travel. Becoming nomad or not I think that responds to how much we love ourselves, because travelling is fun, it’s pretty easy and fulfills the spirit. But if you take a second to think on others (all those that we leave behind).
Shouldn’t we do something about that?
When that questioning happens, communication kicks in and we start to
share our experience with all that people, not only by telling the story but by writing,
shooting, drawing or singing about the things we have lived. And so strong is
the power of the will to share, that not only our older groups profit all these
insights and experiences, but all those at the reach of social networks profits
that.
So as they say, “who reads a story while travelling, is
travelling twice” (in Spanish sounds better, I swear) everyone gets to travel
by feeling and connecting with those who are doing it in a physical way. The same concept runs
for us the physical travelers, we get the stories of those who are in an
adventure or used to travel, and this sharing expands wonderfully all around.
Is in this kind of attitude that it’s possible to travel at
home, that’s the solution. To have enough empathy in order to actually
experiencing the elders experience. And it’s with this development of the
passion of listening and telling other travellers stories, that everyone can
have a massive growth as a human being, staying at home. And in order to do that, a deeper sensibility is needed due to the lack of body experience.
It’s really opening the heart to the others. :)
It’s easy to check what kind of people is listening to you,
wait for the first question.
If they ask you what are you looking for? What’s your story?
That’s one thing.
If the question tries to point out if you had any bad experience?
That might be fear speaking, the one who travels has no good or bad experiences,
has only experiences. This last attitude, is the traveller mindset, whoever has
this, is growing rapidly with this unlimited energy and a sort of 25-y-o
attitude towards life.
It used to be called alchemy, some call it travel but it’s
just LIFE
